At Cherub we believe proper diversification is vital for long term success. Portfolio construction, asset allocation, and investment selection are all important. Our objective is to help client's build and create diverse revenue streams from multiple asset classes. Our macro thematic strategies guide our capital allocation. We select companies and sponsors that have demonstrated their expertise and ability to consistently execute within their area of expertise. Our allocations include both traditional and alternative investments. Our fund offerings include Real Estate, Private Credit, and Private Equity investments.
Our Real Estate Fund invests in the private equity of select real estate assets located within the United States. The fund seeks to deliver income and growth. Generally, our investments are located within the Sun Belt and Southeastern states. We select areas that are experiencing population and job growth. We also incorporate asset specific statistics and demand drivers into our selection process.
Our Private Credit fund invests in private debt securities issued within the United States. The fund seeks to deliver income. Our debt investments may include secured loans, mortgage notes, ABS, MBS, structured credit, mezzanine debt, and unsecured credit instruments. Investments are selected based on multiple metrics which shape the risk / reward profile. The debt maturity profile ranges from 1 to 5 years.
Our Private Equity Fund invests in other Private Equity funds and/or Special Purpose Vehicles (SPV). The fund seeks to deliver growth. The investments are generally allocated to private companies seeking to raise a Series C (3rd round) or later. The "fund of funds" approach allows for a higher quantity of underlying investments, sponsor, and manager diversification. Often other Private Equity funds are too concentrated. The fund intends to allocate capital with at least 3 sponsors to achieve a total of 15 - 40 underlying private equity investments.
